Yes, pregnant individuals can attend sound baths, but some precautions are necessary:

  • Consult Your Doctor: Confirm with your healthcare provider that it’s safe for you.
  • Positioning: Choose a comfortable position, such as lying on your side or sitting, to avoid putting pressure on your back or belly.
  • Volume Sensitivity: Consider sitting further away from the gong to minimize the intensity of the vibrations.

By taking these steps, you can safely enjoy the soothing effects of a sound bath during pregnancy.

Children aged 11 and older (or those in secondary school) are welcome to attend sound baths. However, younger children are not permitted, as they may find it challenging to stay still and quiet for the 90-minute duration.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to ensure they feel safe and supported.

No, lying down is not mandatory, although it is the most common and relaxing position. You can choose the position that best suits your needs:

  • Lying Down: Ideal for deep relaxation; bring a yoga mat, blanket, or pillow for added comfort.
  • Sitting: Use a chair or sit cross-legged if lying down is uncomfortable.
  • Reclined Position: Use bolsters or cushions for additional support if lying flat is not suitable.

The goal is to find a comfortable position that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the sound experience.

Here’s a checklist of items to ensure your comfort:

  • Yoga Mat or Blanket: A self-inflating camping mat is ideal for added comfort and better sound vibration absorption.
  • Pillow or Cushion: For head or neck support, or for seated positions.
  • Eye Mask or Scarf: To block out light and deepen relaxation.
  • Water Bottle: Stay hydrated, especially after the session.
  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing to relax fully.

Optional extras include light to carry bolsters, sleeping bags, or any personal items that help you feel more at ease.
