Sound Healing FAQs

In private sound healing sessions, you’ll experience a deeply relaxing and restorative process. You’ll be invited to sit or lie down comfortably, perhaps with a cozy blanket, as you “bathe” in soothing sounds, vibrations, and frequencies from instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks. These sounds promote relaxation, nervous system balance, and emotional release.

Come with an open and curious mind, free from specific expectations. Openness enhances the experience, while rigid expectations or disbelief may limit results. Dress comfortably, and feel free to bring items like a favourite blanket to help you feel at ease.

Group Size and Booking

  • Group sessions are available for 3–5 people.
  • The group organiser is responsible for paying the total amount for the session in advance. Individual payments are not accepted.

Seating Arrangements

  • The session accommodates up to two laying-down spaces and three reclining spaces on a sofa with back and leg support.
  • You can decide seating arrangements beforehand or make your selection on the day of the session.

What Happens During the Session?

  • I will use Tibetan bowls, placing them mainly on your feet and legs (Root chakra) and hovering them above your head (Crown chakra) to cleanse and balance your chakras or energy centres along the spine.
  • You’ll be surrounded by healing vibrations as I play the gong and crystal singing bowls, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience.

Each session is unique, and experiences vary. You may feel:

  • Physical sensations: Warmth, tingling, or vibrations.
  • Emotional release: Calmness, relief, or emotional shifts.
  • Mental clarity: A quieter, more focused mind.

Every session is a personal experience, and what you feel may evolve over time.

Yes, sound healing can gently process and release trauma by relaxing the nervous system and working on deeply held emotions. The vibrations create a safe space for releasing stored trauma, easing anxiety, and promoting resilience.

Sound healing is a complementary therapy, not a medical cure. It supports the body’s natural healing processes and promotes relaxation but should not replace medical care. Always consult your doctor for appropriate treatments. Sound healing enhances well-being and is best used alongside conventional care.

Sound healing works on multiple levels:

    1. Vibrational Resonance: Sound waves harmonize the body’s natural frequencies, like tuning a musical instrument.
    2. Brainwave Entrainment: Guides the mind into relaxing states like theta (deep relaxation) or delta (healing sleep).
    3. Energy Flow: Clears blockages in the chakra system to restore balance.
    4. Physical Relaxation: Eases tension and stimulates feel-good hormones like serotonin.
    5. Emotional Release: Deep vibrations unlock stored emotions, promoting healing and relief.

I use a variety of instruments, including:

  • Crystal singing bowls
  • Gong (40” stainless steel and titanium alloy)
  • Tibetan singing bowls
  • Tuning forks (Angelic and Solfeggio)
  • Shruti box
  • Drums (shamanic and ocean)
  • Wind chimes, rain stick, kalimba, ocarina, and steel tongue drum
  • African feathered fan or straw broom for spiritual cleansing.

I’m always exploring and adding instruments I feel drawn to.

Yes, I create a healing atmosphere using organic essential oils in a diffuser during home sessions. If you have allergies or sensitivities, please inform me in advance, and I’ll adapt accordingly.

Yes, I incorporate crystals to complement sound healing. Each crystal vibrates at specific frequencies that align with chakras, supporting energy balance and emotional well-being.

Yes, sound healing can balance and align the chakra system. Each chakra responds to specific frequencies:

  1. Root Chakra: Deep, grounding sounds for stability.
  2. Sacral Chakra: Resonates with tones fostering creativity and emotional expression.
  3. Solar Plexus Chakra: Vibrant sounds inspiring confidence.
  4. Heart Chakra: Soft tones promoting love and compassion.
  5. Throat Chakra: Vocal tones for self-expression and communication.
  6. Third Eye Chakra: High-pitched frequencies supporting insight.
  7. Crown Chakra: Very high frequencies fostering spiritual connection.

The frequency depends on your needs:

  1. New clients: Weekly sessions for consistent benefits.
  2. Acute/chronic issues: 2–3 sessions per week, tapering as improvements occur.
  3. Maintenance: Monthly or occasional sessions for balance.

Results vary. Some people feel immediate relaxation and clarity, while deeper healing may take weeks or months. Releasing long-held energies can feel intense initially but paves the way for greater balance. Patience and openness are key.

If I need to cancel, I’ll notify you as soon as possible, and you can reschedule at no additional cost.

If you need to cancel, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. In emergencies, I’ll work with you to reschedule. Refunds are not offered, but your payment can be applied to a future session.

What are the origins of sound healing?

Sound healing is an ancient practice with roots in various cultures:

  • Ancient Civilizations: Egypt, Greece, India, and China used sound for healing and spiritual rituals.
  • Shamanic Practices: Drumming, chanting, and flutes were used for emotional and communal healing.

  • Modern Practices: Techniques like binaural beats, tuning forks, and sound baths are scientifically explored for holistic healing.
